Free Family Film Festival
When school's out, kids around the country visit selected Regal theaters for the Free Family Film Festival. It's a fun-filled nine weeks of movies for kids and parents. Since 1991, Regal has provided this service to the community, and best of all it's FREE! Selected G & PG movies start at 10AM each Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. First-come, first-served seating is limited to theater capacity. The Free Family Film Festival is safe, lots of fun and a great way for kids to spend a weekday morning in the summer.


7.10.08-Hold em? For Hope
Clifton Financial Services and New Hope for Kids are pleased to announce the first annual “Hold ’em For Hope” Charity Event. “Hold ‘em For Hope” benefits New Hope for Kids, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that helps children who have lost a parent. All proceeds will go directly to New Hope for Kids, and sponsorships and/or donations are tax deductible. “Hold Em’ For Hope” is a casino and will take place July 10th 2008 from 6-9 pm at the Winter Park Civic Center 1050 W Morse Blvd Winter Park, FL 32789!
 
 
7.11.08-UCF Free Movies on the Plaza
UCF Arena kicks off its second “Movies on the Plaza” on Friday, July 11with a free screening of “Transformers” at Knights Plaza outside UCF Arena on the campus of the University of Central Florida. Parking is free and the event starts at 7:30 p.m. with showtime scheduled for 9 p.m.
Seminole County Friends of Abused Children
Seminole County Friends of Abused Children, a non-profit organization that functions as a resource for the needs of abused and neglected children in the Guardian Ad Litem Program of Seminole County. Our program funding relies entirely on private contributions and grant awards. We are in need of donations to help provide children in the program with clothing, shoes, eyeglasses and school supplies. We are always in need of luggage (used/in good condition) so that the children that are being removed from their home can take their personal items to their new dwelling. 16th Annual March of Dimes Mud Volleyball Challenge will be heald Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 at the Lee Vista Center, near the Orlando International Airport.
The Mud Volleyball Challenge raises money to support the March of Dimes fight to save babies. At the March of Dimes, the nation’s third largest volunteer health organization, our mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, infant mortality, and premature birth. We accomplish our mission through programs of research, community service, education and advocacy.

9.27-10.18.08-The 2008 Light the Night Walk
The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nationwide evening walk. Walkers carry illuminated balloons to celebrate and commemorate the lives touched by cancer. Funds raised will support our mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Your participation will help save lives. Please join us in our fight against blood cancers, as we "light the night" with hope and raise funds to find a cure. Anyone can participate. Children, adults and seniors are all welcome. This is a casual walk with no fitness requirements.
